When the Wargelin classroom building was built in 1966, the library relocated into its current location. The library, which was located on the ground level of Wargelin Hall, was a 5,000-square-foot space. The environment of Maki Library encourages personal growth and collaboration. My experience here has always been positive, and the librarians are always willing to help you the best they can. The best perk about the library is that they allow you to print whatever you need free of charge. They are open Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. One of the most essential features of the Maki library is its quiet atmosphere, which encourages studying and learning. There are several distractions at your dorm or apartment, such as social media, video games, and Netflix. Studying in the dorms I have found isn’t the worst situation but less gets done than if I was in the library. When I find myself in the library I can work twice as long and retain more information. I highly recommend that everyone spends time in the library to get academic work done.
